Samantha Gould
Founder/Director
With a career spanning nearly three decades in marketing and over 20 years in digital and social media, I bring a deep passion for strategic, impactful communication. I began my journey in the mid-90s in sales and marketing assistant roles, studying part-time while gaining hands-on experience full-time. That foundation taught me the importance of planning, adaptability, and the power of storytelling.
I vividly remember the early days of digital marketing. Even then, it was clear this new frontier would reshape how brands connect with their audience. Fast forward to today, and digital has become an essential tool, particularly for small businesses, offering cost-effective ways to reach consumers and build meaningful relationships.
At Gould Marketing, I bring together decades of insight to help businesses, large and small, build a strong voice and lasting brand identity. Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked across a wide range of industries, developing marketing strategies, managing social media, building websites, and running campaigns that deliver real results.
I’ve had the privilege of working with iconic brands such as Howards Storage World, Volcom, Villeroy & Boch, Yardley London, Marc Daniels, and House with No Steps (now Aruma). My approach is always strategic—grounded in planning, aligned with goals, and executed across multiple channels for maximum impact.
In addition to leading Gould Marketing, I am proud to serve as Co-Chair of Screen Fraser Coast, an advocate for regional film and creative industries, and a Certified Practising Marketer (CPM) with the Australian Marketing Institute, where I also mentor up-and-coming professionals.

I have more than 20 years of experience as a journalist working for a variety of media organisations including the wire service Australian Associated Press; newspapers such as The Herald Sun and The West Australian; and magazines such as Australian Property Investor. I’ve written news, features and finance stories and one highlight was covering Prince Charles’s visit to Fraser Island before he became King.
I’ve had a passion for photography since I was a teenager. Over the years, I’ve developed a keen eye while shooting sporting events, landscapes, animals and portraits in my free time and professionally taking photos for news, social media and promotional purposes.
While working for Fraser Coast Tourism and Events, I filmed a video of tourists swimming with whales in Hervey Bay. It attracted about 1.8 million views and 9000 comments after being supplied to Tourism Australia and posted on the organisation’s Facebook page, Australia.com: https://www.facebook.com/SeeAustralia/videos/10155618169935909
I love connecting with people and helping them to tell their stories, whether it’s through words, photos or videos.
Jack (Kelpie)
Head of Customer Service
More than six years with the business.
Ok, so, Jack may not help create your content or marketing plans but he is top of his class in customer service, welcoming clients to our offices, making sure they feel welcome. He also keeps us entertained throughout the working day.
If you come to our offices, make sure you say hello to Jack and give him a belly rub.
Jack loves any tennis balls available to him and will always be keen for a game of catch. He loves going on trips to the beach and is always keen for a cuddle.

Whether I like it or not, the world has changed dramatically. As a businessman in my 50’s I’ve observed the huge increase in social media and recognised the need to better understand & utilise social media for the promotion of my business…… let’s face it, everyone seems to be staring into smart devices (probably too much) but it’s not hard to work out that if that’s where people are looking, that’s where you need to advertise.
I undertook a two-hour advanced FaceBook Training Course with Sam from Gould Marketing recently and found this to be a rewarding and eye-opening experience covering off, to understanding FB much better and learning how to create effective content and do low-cost effective advertising targeted to my potential customer base. The course also covers the retrospective analysis of the ad campaigns so you can monitor the “bang for your buck” and adjust accordingly etc.
Thanks Sam, I learned a whole bunch, have improved my social media content, and am currently working on some low-cost ad campaigns inspired by what I have learned.
